How CharterLayer collects, uses, and protects information when you use CompanyOS.

Information we collect

When you purchase or use CompanyOS, we may collect:

  • Contact information (name, work email)
  • Organization details you provide in the CompanyOS questionnaire (company name, industry, description, leadership, departments, business goals, compliance requirements)
  • Payment information processed by Stripe (we do not store full card numbers)
  • Technical data such as IP address and browser type for security and service delivery

How company information is used

Organization information you submit is used solely to generate your CompanyOS, fulfill your order, provide support, and improve our services. We do not sell your business information to third parties.

Generated CompanyOS assets

Your generated CompanyOS is stored securely on CharterLayer infrastructure so you can access, download, and receive it by email. Assets are retained to support order fulfillment, regeneration requests, and customer support. You may request deletion of your data by contacting support.

Payment handling

Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. Stripe handles card data according to its own privacy policy and PCI-compliant infrastructure. CharterLayer receives confirmation of payment and limited billing metadata.

OpenAI and AI processing

CompanyOS generation may use OpenAI or compatible AI services to produce your organizational model. Questionnaire data is transmitted to these providers only for the purpose of generating your CompanyOS. We recommend reviewing OpenAI's data usage policies if your organization has specific compliance requirements.

Data security

We use encryption for stored credentials and secrets, HTTPS for data in transit, and access controls on production systems. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we implement reasonable safeguards appropriate to the data we handle.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by emailing support@charterlayer.com. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
